Arrival
Due to the favorable traffic connections of the city of Hannover, you have a wide choice of ways to get there. Your basic choices are by car, train or by plane. Airport, train station, as well as the visiting places and the accommodation are easily reached via Subway (“U-Bahn”), suburban train (“S-Bahn”) or tram (“Stadt-/Straßen-Bahn”). Of course, at all these places, you will find sufficient parking lots available.

All these places (with exception of the airport) are within the fare zone “Ticketzone Hannover“, such that a single ticket suffices to reach all places, a single person ticket costs 2.10 Euro/trip or 4.10 Euro /day (08.04.2009, price list GVH). The airport is located in the fare zone “Ticketzone Umland”, so you would need a two-zone ticket, which amounts to 2.80 Euro /trip and 5.30 Euro /day per person, respectively(08.04.2009, price list GVH). If you arrive by train, please check whether your ticket comprises the option Cityticket (“+City”). Provided it does, you can use it to go to your respective target location ( accommodation or venue) without purchasing any further tickets for that trip.

In the following, some suggestions for convenient routes are presented and at the end of this page, you will find an interactive map showing all essential locations of this event. Additionally, all suggested routes are depicted including a link to a route planner.

Arrival by Car:

The general direction of travel is marked in the overview map below. For additional details, please use our Route Planer. You can generate your route either directly to the event location, the PZH, or first to the Accomodation, the Achat Hotel,. At the Planer, you will only have to enter your starting address.

Also, directions are already prepared there from the Hotel to the PZH and from PZH to the Hotel.

Arrival by Plane:

  • Directly to the event location, the PZH:
    Go to the suburban train station (“S-Bahnhof”, at Terminal C), Track 2 (“Gleis 2”) and take the train S5 with heading Paderborn or Hameln. After about 14 minutes, you will reach the train stop Hannover Nordstadt, where you exit the train.

    You will arrive at Track 2 (“Gleis 2”). Go to the neighboring Track 1 (“Gleis 1”).

    About 11 minutes later, the train S1 with heading Minden or the S2 with heading Nienburg will leave from there. Exit the train at the next stop. This will be about 3 minutes after departure and the train stop is called Hannover Leinhausen. Here, take the stairs downwards. If you look to the right (toward the train station Leinhausen), you can already see the stop of the city tram. About 4 minutes after your arrival you can take the city tram Linie 4 towards Garbsen. Within 12 minutes you reach the stop Friedhof/Auf der Horst, where you exit the tram.

    Now, a foot walk of about 850m awaits you. Go in the opposite direction the tram took: the event location, the PZH, is directly in line of sight, behind the highway bridge. You will approach a street crossing. Switch the road side here, and go into the street Schönecker Allee and follow it. Directly behind the highway bridge you can see some halls on the right side, these already belong to the PZH, the event location.

  • First to the Accomodation, the Hotel Achat:
    Go to the suburban train station (“S-Bahnhof”, at Terminal C), Track 2 (“Gleis 2”) and take the train S5 with heading Paderborn or Hameln. After about 5 minutes, you will reach the train stop Langenhagen-Mitte, where you exit the train. Now, take the stairs down and exit the train station towards Straßburger Platz. Keep to the left and enter the Rathenaustraße. Follow it for about 500m until it meets the Walsroder Straße. Take a left into the Walsroder Straße and within 100m you can see the Hotel Achat, the Accomodation, on the right.

Arrival by Train:

  • Directly to the event location, the PZH:
    Travel to Hannover Main Station, Hauptbahnhof Hannover. Exit the train there and go down the stairs.

    Go to Track 1, it can be found in the direction of Haupteingang/Kröpcke.

    Here at xx.28 o´clock, the suburban train S1 with heading Minden or at xx.58 o´clock, the train S2 with heading Nienburg depart. Take either one and exit it already at the next train stop. This will be after about 3 minutes and the train stop is called Hannover Leinhausen. Here, take the stairs downwards. If you look to the right (toward the train station Leinhausen), you can already see the stop of the city tram. About 4 minutes after your arrival you can take the city tram Linie 4 towards Garbsen.   • First to the Accomodation, the Hotel Achat:
    Travel to Hannover Main Station, Hauptbahnhof Hannover. Exit the train there and go down the stairs. Go towards Raschplatz, and take the escalators down to the lower levels. There, take the right stairs to the subway U1 (heading Langenhagen).

    Take it until the stop Langenhagen/Langenforther Platz (takes about 15 minutes). After you exited the subway, take the right footway (in the heading of the subway) and follow the Walsroder Straße. After about 300m you can see the Hotel Achat, the Accomodation, to your right.
