Such an event, in which breeders of rare fishes from different countries meet each other, provides in most cases a good possibility to exchange fishes. We want to give all the participants a possibility to offer their fishes to other participants or search for certain species. If these offers or searches are made here, most of the specimens can be surely mediated in advance. Likely also is that some more fishes will be brought to the meeting by the breeders, that can be offered to others on our blackboard. As this meeting is addressed to the L-numbers, we will only accept offers or searches of catfishes of the subfamily Hypostominae (including the former subfamily Ancistrinae).

Every participant is responsible for the welfare of the fishes he brings to the meeting. We will try to get a room heated up to 25 °C for the keeping of these plecos. We would like to advise you not to keep the offered fishes in bags during the full three days. Therefore everybody who wants to exchange fishes should bring the following equipment to the meeting:

- an aquarium, a plastic tank or something similar
- a sponge filter and an air pump or a motor filter
- a heater

For participants that arrive by plane we can buy and make available a plastic tank with a volume of 40 to 50 liters for 10 Euros.

For a fee of 5 Euro everybody can offer his l-number offspring or even adult specimens here on our L-Number-Exchange and on a black board on the meeting. Naturally this service is included in the meeting package, so that participants do not have to pay for this.
