Since approximately five years Elko Kinlechner spends most of his free time with keeping and breeding of the smaller loricariids. He has meanwhile bred a lot of these species. His knowledge about these fishes he tries to share with others in conservations, articles in magazines and presentations.

His main interest is to help that these interesting fishes do not disappear out of our tanks and that other aquarists become interested in loricariids, too.

He is a member of the workgroup L Plecos (AG L-Welse) of the IG BSSW and one of the founder of the meetings of the “Chemnitz Pleco Fanatics”.
