
Ulrich Waelti was born in Switzerland in 1950, has two children and lives together with his wife in Frenkendorf near Basel.
While he works in an accounts department, he is an enthusiastic aquarist since we was seven years old. In his basement he keeps and breeds fishes since many years, mainly labyrinths, dwarf cichlids, tetras, Corys and loricariids. Recently he is interested in dwarf shrimps, too.
During several trips to South America he had the possibility to study the habitats of his fishes, what was a big advantage for his attempts to breed them. Trying as long as it takes to breed a fish is the main interest he has in his hobby.
Ulrich is member of the IGL and the IG BSSW since many years.
