The DeDeNet GmbH is probably known to most through its executive director Lutz Döring. As an enthusiastic aquarist, he was responsible for the creation of the aquarium platforms AquaNet (1996) and AquaNet.tv (2008). Also the software AquaLex, published in 1996, and additional internet platforms like PetNet and AquaLinks were developed and administered by him until they were sold.
With the foundation of DeDeNet in the year 1996, he could incorporate aquaristic knowledge as an im- and exporter of ornamental fish into the concept. It is thus not surprising that the orientation of this company was quite biased towards the aquarium hobby through acquisition of the companies sera, Zajac, Tetra and others as customers.
Within the pet industry, DeDeNet is by now market leader in mobile order entry software, which is successfully used by companies like sera, JBL, Karlie, Trixie, Dohse Aquaristik and more. Also the aquaristic websites of Fressnapf, Aqua-Design and Aquarium Münster were developed in this company.
Even though the pet industry related segment only contributes a few percent to the commercial focus of the DeDeNet GmbH by now, Lutz Döring will still continue to advance projects in this direction.
And so much can already be revealed:
The preparations are running at full speed to have the next aquaristics related project of Lutz Döring ready and available by Christmas.
The amicable relationship with quite a number of hobbyists from the scene and expecially the organizing team of the International L-Numbers Days, were the main reason for adopting a sponsorship as well as the mediation of additional sponsors for this event.
