panta rhei (gr. πάντα ῥεῖ, „Everything flows.“)

In reference to the corresponding aphorism by the greek Philosopher Heraklit, who considered all LiFe as a constant flux between creation and annihilation, it is the aim of the Panta Rhei GmbH, to convey the dynamic processes of the natural habitats of our fishes to the conditions of the closed system aquarium.
Continuous circles, dependent on seasons, altering water levels, changing currents and lighting conditions, can be found in the chemical and physical parameters of the considered bodies of water.
These impulse generators of Life are, at present, not realized in the most aquaria with their constant lighting, currents und water quality.
Condition and foundation of the dynamic systems is the knowledge of the natural habitat and the special requirements of the individual species. A collaboration of Scientists, native Fishermen, the appropriate public authorities and the considerable amount of knowledge of established aquarists allow this knowledge to constantly grow over time.
It is thus mandatory to convert this base of knowledge into technical solutions, to further optimize current husbandry conditions and to supply the animals with habitats as close to Nature as possible.
This is where the philosophy of Panta Rhei GmbH sets in, which tries to convert the dynamic processes of the natural habitats into technical and thematic solutions based on individual control of lighting, currents, as well as specially designed feeding regimes based on an individual fish community. Herein, environmental friendliness during manufacturing as well as ecological sustainability during handling of the products are held in highest esteem.
